...crap i forgot his name...

This oc of mine is relatively old from a story that I've long since abandoned, i don't remember his name but i do remember that the uni he lives in is an alternate history earth, where, Rome never fell because the comet that converted Empire Constantine ended up crashing near the villa of an experienced old Roman surgeon, why would this skew history you ask?

cuz the comet wasn't just some rock, it was a ship, containing a hand full of hyper advanced humanoid machines, so advanced that everything about their physiology was nearly identical to that of humans, main difference is that instead of being made of organic material they where made of metal. and thats not all, one of the alien roboty guys survived and asked the surgeon for help, explained his physiology and medical tech in detail and how the surgeon could grow husk aliens to harvest organs from in order to patch himself up.

the surgeon then murdered the alien and used his new found knowledge to create over a thousand new super obedient aliens that he thought he could sell as slave, problem was over time they became self aware bla bla bla killed him bla bla bla and instead of trying to wipe out humanity they disguised themselves, integrated and inter bred with humans.

over hundreds of years the robo alien 'genetics' spread around allot, mainly because romans where horny bastards, but also because those who had the robo 'blood' where born with a certain amount of robotic alien cells all throughout their bodies and those cells generate an energy that was normally what kept the aliens alive, but in humans, it is literally Magic.

seeing why this might have changed history yet? well over hundreds of years the romans learned how to harness magic to use spells and power machinery and a whole slew of tech that could use magic to power it, including air ships, weapons, and mechanical replacement body parts like arms legs eyes and such. any who being the warring civilization they where the romans quickly snatched up magic users to use as soldiers and even replace the Praetorian guard with all magic users.

now this is all well and good except for one thing, over use of magic results in a 'decease' that turns regular human tissue into hard metal that is very painful and immobilizing, that last part is common knowledge, what common folk didn't know is that this if it continues the victim would eventually 'mutate' into something nearly identical to those original alien robot dudes, and people who did that got snatched up in secret and used as ginny pigs for research and the like.

this caused major problems when people in the Praetorian guard began to go AWOL at the first sign of this decease, over time enough of the defectors to start an all out rebellion (it also had a bunch of normal people and helthy magic users). the romans did two things to counter this, first they made a special davision of the Pretorian guard to hunt them down, and inveted things that would slow the proses of the decease in magic users. this rebellion has been going on for hundreds of years, and many of the people who fight against the rebels eventualy wind up working with them, and this is where that kid comes in.

he's the son of two high ranking Praetorians and the favorite cousin of the Emperor, as little kid he lived with his parents in england, a remote section of the empire, disguised as a middle class commoner for safe keeping, this did not work as when he was around 10 he had his arm and a chunk of his chest blown off by assassins as he fled his burning home after the murder of both his parents, seeing as the whole living in disguise thing didn't work he was sent to Rome where he lived with his cousin while he got some replacement parts. soon after he joined the Praetorian guard and after several years of training and missions he eventually returned to the town in england where he grew up, and thats where the story was going to start.

i know that was allot of info but meh, i like to be though when i make a world, and i dropped this one for several reasons, mainly because of the whole Alien robots being able to crossbreed with humans and never being able to come up with non retarded names for anything, but meh, Enjoy!
